My son Aidan started with major sinus issues around the age of one. He required a surgery as his sinuses were a complete disaster even after four weeks of IVs. We did nasal rinses every day since then with Flonase. He recently needed a second PICC and a second surgery for sinuses. It has only been five weeks out of surgery and again- a sinus infection and cough. I am at my wit's end.
We do daily nasal rinses, daily nasal steroids and here we are again. He is so uncomfortable and cranky and I feel like I cannot get a handle on them. Has anyone had any success with something else? Could it be a reaction to milk?? Our CF nurse said he is too young to do the skin prick test. He had the IGE blood test for milk and was negative. He only cultures Staph A and H Flu although right now he is on Cipro because the Bactrim wasn't working. Any suggestions?? Thanks
