making nebs faster

i have found that if you take and only put about 2 ccs of a nebulized med into the neb cup at a time it goes faster. I dunno if it's just my imagination or what but i think it really works. try it and post a response if it works for you too.

theres a new nebulizer - i forget what my doctor called it - but it delivers pulmozyme, which usually takes about ten minutes - in three minutes.
i think they're also working on inhalers for pulmozyme, tobi, etc.

Thanks for responding i'll see if my doctor knows what you are talking about thatis sopposed to make pulmozime faster because i am also on it and if i can get it faster that would be great

It may be the eFlow. I just got one. I'm on saline that is supposed to take 15 minutes with a regular compressor. I believe it takes five, maybe even less (just got it and haven't timed it yet) with the eFlow. I know the pulmozyme is faster than that... the only problem is that you have to be on TOBI or Calistin to get the eFlow machine.

i use the iNEB instead of the normal pari and it is so much faster i think its safe to say its has changed my life at the speed it gets done i have so much more time during the day and its so much more easier<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> enjoy <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

you are not supposed to use HS in the eflow. It can cause the machine to break and also for you not to get enough medicine. You can use TOBI, colistin, or pulmo in it. There is a topic in the adult section talking about this

The nebulizer is called sidestream,it is only used with pulmozyme,the only place I can get it is at cincinnati childrens hiospital,it is more expensive,but it only takes about 3 minutes to do, and it lasts for one year,hopes this helps
