Can someone explain the donut hole effect when one is on medicare? I am trying to figure out if I just have my Medicare and then of course a Part D plan will that provide enough coverage OR will my husband always have to be insured through a group medical plan for me to get the best and most paid for coverage. I have ALWAYS been under the impression that the group plan through my husband's insurance will ALWAYS be the better way to go in terms of cost, copays and coverage.
