Mine is secondary to my husband Blue Cross. Medicare doesnt pay co payments of any kind, but it will pay on a co insurance after the primary insurance. It pays 80% of that co insurance and after your annual outpatient deductable is met. I never have to use it for my admissions since my husbands insurance pays in full. I also have never used it after my prescription coverage thru my husbands. I didnt event sign up for Medicare Part D so I dont know if it would pay after my primary on meds since it is considered a co pay. I am not sure what else you would like to know.

I dont know your cirmcustances, but unless something has changed since I worked in a hospital billing office Medicare is secondary. I am referring to the primary being a group health plan tho. Maybe that is where the difference is?

What if you have Medicare, then get added to your spouse's insurance....would Medicare then switch to secondary coverage?
