I had pseudomonas for along time and they put me on amikacin iv. It went away but now its back and they put me on bactrim iv. If you have any questions I will be glad to try and answer them. My E-mail is in my profile.

I have psuedomonas on my tongue, doctor gave me anti-fungal for mouth swish and swollow, it helped somewhat, now on cipro, I still have it,...got to get back to doctor!!!
I am currently on Colistin neb to alternate monthly with Tobi neb & Bactrim DS daily as well as Zithromax for inflammation. I also have used Cipro (oral) as the step before IV. It usually works. I dont take it unless absolutely necessary.
Hey im Casey 15/f w/CF...i just got out of the hospital wednesday, i had to have my 4th PICC line and i have psuedomonas. i am now on IV antibiotics for 2 weeks. i am takin Gentamicin, Cefepime, and Levaquin.
I used to be treated w/ Bactrim when I was little for pseudomonus (spelling?) But now I usuallyonly take it to treat MRSA. I take Cipro for one month and Tobi the next, alternating the 2 and also Zithromax e/o day.
