Megace Side Effects?

Hi,

I just started taking Megace in the hospital to try to gain some weight and after my morning dosage of the liquid 10 ml, I started to have these horrible tasting burps. Has anyone else had this as a side effect of Megace? Or do you think it's something else.

I've had the same problem with taking Aquadeks -- they make me feel like I am burping up dead worms, so needless to say I don't take Aquadeks anymore.

Any insight would be fantastic! =) Thanks in advance.

My daughter takes megace 2x day with no problems but she has never taken the liquid form only pills can you try the pill form to see if that helps.

I dont remember burping like the burps I get after taking the aquADEKs... dead worms is a good analogy haha

what is the MG/ML of the Megace, or your prescriped dose. I know that when I take 800 mg that I get bloated and burpy and uncomfortable... so I lowered it to 400 mg a day and that gives me just enough appetite to not overdo it too.

Hopefully that helps.

Maybe try taking it with a meal too? So its not in your stomach by itself?

thanks guys I didn't even think about taking it on a semi-empty stomach but that was probably the cause. I only had two slices of bacon and some juice so that probably wasn't enough to coat my stomach. =) Hopefully tomorrow will go better.
