What part of KY were you from? If from Louisville, which doctor did you see?

I was actually from a very small town in southeast KY right on the Tennessee border, about 30 miles south of Somerset. When my first daughter was diagnosed we went to Knoxville, TN since it was the closest CF Center to us. We saw Dr. John Rogers... he is absolutely wonderful. I still miss him. We moved to Richmond later after my second daughter was born and went to Lexington for a very short time. Dr. Kanga was the dr. there. I wasn't there long enough to really get to know the people very well. Then we moved to Minnesota, where we are now, though we are moving to Texas in a couple of weeks... I know it sounds like we move an awful lot...lol... actually I lived in the same small town for the first 27 years of my life... I've spent the last 4 trying to determine where I want to settle down, raise my kids and retire... hope to find that soon...

I asume you live in KY?

Sorry...dumb question... it says right on your post that you live in Louisville... Sorry... it's been a very long day. How do you like the drs there? I've never heard anything about the Louisville CF Center. I would love to eventually go back to KY and live. My family is all still there. I can't go back until my ex-husband disappears from the face of the earth. He was very abusive and that's why I had to leave in the first place....Can't go back as long as he's alive and kicking.

First let me start by saying I'm glad to hear that someone is actually from this part of the world <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">. You always read about people from Canada, UK, or across state. The Louisville (KY) clinic is pretty good and I'm glad to have them near me to keep from traveling a long distance, as I see some CF patients do. They have always been good to me and my daughter. Sometimes I get a little frustrated, but who doesn't with any doctor (haha). In seeing that you move alot, you have to do what is best for the kids to get the proper care needed. In this day and age insurance straight up bites. And trying to get help with both my husband and I working is completely OUT OF THE QUESTION. Sorry to hear that with your ex, hopefully one day you can get back to ole KY home.

Good luck to you and your children. Everything will work out, it eventually does.
