This is kind of embarrassing, but I had a question about breast development... lately my boobs have been super tender, and my boyfriend and I have noticed that theyve gotten bigger.... The first thing I did was take 3 pregnancy tests, and they all came back negative, so I know Im not pregnant. I know that people with CF tend to go through puberty kind of late, but Im 20 years old! Ive had my period for over 7 years now, so I dont really know whats going on. I was hoping to avoid involving a doctor, so I was wondering if anyone else has had this experience...? or know of someone, or some other reason (besides pregnancy) that my boobs would start growing and hurting?!

This could be very normal. I'm not sure it's really a CF thing. A lot of women experience tenderness before their periods, and it is normal for our breasts to swell right before also. It is true that tenderness is a symptom of pregnancy, and even though you've taken three tests, you could still be pregnant. It may just be too soon for an over the counter test to pick up the hormone in your urine. You may need a blood test, or just wait longer & retake the OTC test again.
Also, if you've recently gained weight, your breasts could grow in size. It's the first place I lose or gain weight. Since you have the tenderness with the size increase, I'd see if you get your period, and if not, get to a doctor for a blood test. Good luck.
