Miscarriage

So I didn't m/c naturally and finally opted to use the med cytotec to speed things up and hopefully avoid a D&C. It worked and I passed the sac and placenta. I expected much more cramping but this has been more uncomfortable than painful. Whew. I'm relieved to have closure. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I haven't posted about my pregnancy because I felt that something was wrong. Strangely, DH did too and even told me he didn't think this one would stick. When I got to week 8 and I still didn't have many symptoms other than fatigue I realized what was happening. I started to bleed this monday at 9 weeks, went to the hospital and found out I had a blighted ovum (an empty sac, no baby). My doc confirmed it and my bleeding is increasing.

I opted to try to miscarry naturally so I'm still waiting for it to happen. Once this finishes and I have a real period I can TTC if I want to. Not sure what our plans are with that just yet. My biological clock is ticking very loud though.

Now that I'm not pregnant or breastfeeding I want a drink! It's been about 2 years since I've had anything other than beer. I'm happy to have my body to myself.

Bonnie,
I was wondering what was up since your last post that kinda hinted at a pregnancy. I am sorry that it was a miscarriage.
Please take time to yourself, indulge in chocolate and a bubble bath. Also, have a drink to celebrate what a great job you did with your daughter! You never know, this may be a very short drinking period before you have to give up alcohol again! (I know that sounds bad like I am endorsing alcohol haha).

Take care, hugs! Jenn

Oh I'm so sorry. You have been through so much pregnancy wise. I had a blighted ovum a year ago and miscarried naturally at 7 weeks. I had a bad feeling about that pregnancy too - just like you did. I didn't really have any symptoms either except breast tenderness. I wasn't given any guidelines on TTC and we tried again right away and didn't wait till another period since your body really treats a miscarriage like a period (though you may ovulate a little later than normal). We didn't conceive till after that cycle. Hugs!
