more frustration

I am so angry tonight. I took my dd to have her blood drawn 2 weeks ago and found out today that the sample was sent for the wrong testing. It was supposed to go to ambry, but went instead to genzyme and was tested for same 97 mutation she was tested for a year ago.

We have had to fight with insurance to cover this test, have made many calls to CF team to get this "preapproved" then held my dd down while she screamed bloody murder about getting stuck with a needle. All for nothing.

I am so frustrated, I want to just give up, but know that is not what is best for my kids.

I am so tired of having to do everyone elses job and wish that everyone would do their job so mixups like this would not happen.

OMG! I can imagain why you are so frustrated. I would also be furious. This is crazy. Good Luck getting this straightened out.

Probably won't happen, but maybe if you complain to hospital......they can eat the cost.......including lab's fees......as far as sticking DD again....I read on here somewhere Ambry had a "swab" test.....where you swab the mouth and send in DNA that way...... Just a few thoughts...I would be furious too.....Prayers for you that all of this will work out....

I am so sorry. I would definitely file a formal complaint with the hospital about this. Make them have some inconvenience at the very least for their error. Do check out the swab test. Maybe you won't have to go through that blood draw again. Ugh! Absolutely frustrating.
