More of and update...

So its been almost 2 weeks since they admitted Austin into the hospital. Poor guy! They have tried to get a pick line in him but have been unsuccessfull. They were trying again this morning hopefully it works. Poor thing has been poked so man time b/c they can't get a pick line and they keep changing his antibiotics b/c of new bugs they keep finding. He's sput on a little weight but the doctors are still concerned b/c its not allot and not constant. (6lbs 9 oz to 7lbs 5 oz) . So were are anticipating another week or so in the hospital. He still has a tub down his nose and throat so they can give him the rest of his food that he won't take on his own. My mom says they my need to put a feeding tube in but we are hoping that it won't happen. The doctors gave us a really good book about CF we are passing around the family so that they can be more informed about CF. One day at a time right, I just want him to come home. I went to visit last night and my 2 years old asked me where I was going I said "I'm going to see Austin" she replied with "I want to see him, I'll get my coat on." I wish I could take her but no one under 18 is allowed. I told her he's be home soon, Hopefully! I got her some good vitamins to keep her healthy so that when he does come home she can visit. Until next time!

I'll continue to keep Austin in my thoughts. Its such a tough time, I hope they figure it all out and he picks up some weight too!! I commend all your family for all your support and eagerness to learn about CF, you have no idea how helpful that is to a CF parent!!!!! Thanks for the update, keep em coming!!
