is there anyone out there (with CF) who has had more than 2 children (biological) (in separate pregnancies, not multiples)
just wondering what my Dr will say if I tell him I am considering it....

YES but I can't remember her name! I'll look back in my old pm's to find her...
She was an older woman, and had 3 kids. However she wasn't diagnosed till later in life. But, she did pretty good with all her pregnancies.
I think the biggest indicator is how did you do with your other pregnancies? If you are healthy and managing well with the little ones you have-why not?
You must have good kids! I have one 3 yr old and currently can't imagine having more than 2!
I would LOVE tons of kids, but know thats not possible for me at this time.
You know, there are so many variables in cf. And with children, there are even more. Each situation is so unique.

Oh my gosh! Are you insane?!?! LOL

I have a 3.5-year-old and a 2-year-old, and I don't even know what I'd do with myself if I had another one. And oddly enough, we did consider having one more recently...but after thinking long and hard, we realized two was plenty However, I did not carry both of my children, only one, so I don't have experience carrying more than one pregnancy. But I honestly wouldn't even think of carrying more than one anyways because it really took a toll on me and my health at first. I feel fortunate that my health is back up to baseline now and I want to keep it that way.

But honestly, I do know there are CF women out there who have had more than 2 kids. Hopefully you will find the answers you are looking for.

And I think it's really great that you're thinking about extending your family - it's great that we are living longer and healthier lives so that we can live our dreams

I think we're good with 2 but I haven't completely ruled out 3. I am very conflicted. DH says he is done. I told him to give it another 5 years before he gets a vasectomy. But honestly, 2 is plenty for me to handle and it is logistically good (I like to travel). But there is that little voice in the back of my mind that says "maybe, someday, one more".

I have to say that it isn't my health that keeps me from having 3 - it is just that 2 is plenty for me to take care of Plus my parents help out a lot (their choice) and they're not getting any younger (they're both 65).

We haven't made up our minds on this at all, pregnacy itself wasn't bad for my health once it was over, I had the highest pft's in years after my second child was born. My kids are good, they are a handfull at times too, but that's to be expected at their age ( 18months and 3 years). The actual being pregnant part was drastically different ( the first was a breeze the second I was sick daily) We just don't feel like we are done yet, and are considering adoption as well. I just was wondering if I was nuts
of course there is always the question if I could even get pregnant, I had to go thru iui's for both kids.
thanks for all your responses !!
