mucus in stool

My almost 8month old is on Tobi/Cipro b/c he cultured PA. Well the Cipro is a liquid and has white beed looking things in it. Well I just changed his diaper and it was a normal color and not greasy at all, but it had mucus in it and what looked like those white little beed looking things that is in his Cipro which he took way earlier this morning. Is that normal...what could that be or mean? Anything to worry about?

The only thing that I could possibly come up with, as far as maybe a question to the doc, is if the liquid form of Cipro is something that is only fat-soluble, where he would need to take enzymes with? Most antibiotics are not, but I'm only familiar with them in solid form. Its might be worth double checking though. That was the first thought I had when I read that it looked like the 'white beads' were present in his stool, he may not be absorbing them and need enzymes to help do the job??

my daughter was on liquid cipro also but i dont remember the white beads...so you may definatley want to talk with your doc! good luck! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> ricki

We have never used the cipro, but as for mucus in stools. My daughter has always had it and its just normal from what i have been told. Goodluck....
