My daughter and I are fairly new to this sight. We have been reading alot of what everyone writes and I have been reading the posts about you know ur a cf parent when. Well my daughter and I ( erin is 13 w/cf) wanted to know what everyone thinks about letting her and I put something togather. Erin wants poems from moms and dads alike as well as other cfers. She wants true feelings of people with cf, friends of people w/ cf and parents. I think this is a wonderful idea because erin was 9 when we found out she had cf and she has never really dealt with it before this moment. I am so proud of her wanting to make something beautiful. She says to me last night mom i could write my own book and my name will be everywhere when I am gone. While trying not to cry I said to that no matter what her name will be known and that she is not going anywhere for a long long time. We told her that she is going to out live us. Well anyway what you all wrote as parents she related to and I think that helped her so much. So I want to thank you. Now we want to ask all of you if you would be willing to write anything you want poem story what ever you want and send it to her. I think this is a great healing for her, we are doing this to bring a smile to someones face. Just like you all did for her. She says if she writes a book all her money is going to find a cure. This is all coming from a child who would never talk of her cf, I am asking you to help me help her. Please if you are willing to do this erin has a plan that she has, she wants everyone to send their writings to her.I told her last night when we talked about this I will help her all that I can but this is going to be hard work. She responds with mom I work hard everyday I can do this. I don't know why she is coming to terms all of a sudden I am not asking I am going w/ the flow.
