Thanks for sharing your story with us Eric! I also live in CT...Southbury. I started a Great Strides walk last year and would love if you would join us on May 19th. I lived here from 1987-1990 and was seen at Yale then moved away and returned here in 2008. I went back to Yale and was cared for by John. When he moved to Hartford last year I followed him there...along with 25 other patients LOL. I think we are in good hands with Knauft, Pope & McArdle. Welcome to the site!

Lauren;
Thanks for replying. I am very happy with Hartford Hospital with Sam Pope and Dr. Knauft. I met John once when I was at my last appt but was not seen by him. I kidded him and told him smart move to come to Hartford <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> I hated the way I was treated by Yale when I got sick in 2001. Thats why I switched. Remind me of the May 19th walk and I will try to come. I personally dont walk too far as with 58% lung capacity it gets me out of breath sometime. ERIC

Wow, does your story take me back. I'm 40, and remember cotazyme and mist tents and the poundings (patting) after nebs. I managed to avoid the mist tents (and hospitals until I was a teen), but I knew kids that could not sleep without them. I got to try one of the first Vests. I guess those of us that keep outliving the predictions get to do a lot of firsts.

Keep on keeping on!!
