My First IUI

So I had my first IUI a couple weeks ago and my period's not due for a couple more days, so I don't know if it worked yet. The thing is I think I may have timed it wrong. I was doing opks and I thought it was positive, but I kept doing them after the IUI and it turned for sure positive the day after my IUI. Does that sound like the IUI would have been done way too early? We're doing unmedicated IUIs. My doctor hasn't even mentioned addding meds. My husband's sperm motility was low and there doesn't seem to be any problem with me other than the normal CF mucus.

Hi Sara,

I do not think your timing was wrong. I often hand a darker line on the OPK the day following IUI, and I still got pregnant with IUI #2. I know it's frustrating, but try to not get disappointed if it doesn't work and keep trying. Expect to have to do it a few times before it works.

Well IUI #1 didn't work. I didn't figure it would. Judging by when I started my period and my luteul phase I did the IUI 3 days before I ovulated, so next time I'm sticking with the OPKs that I know so there will be no confusion on when I get a positive.
