I just need to know for my own sanity if it is terribly uncommon for neb compressors to stop pumping out enough air. I've been trying to deal with the company for over a week... and I can't get them to believe there's actually something wrong with the compressor. It is easy enough to tell... usually if you don't connect the hose on tight enough, it just flies, lately I can barely touch the hose to the neb and it stays attatched. Also, it's been taking almost an hour to administer the pulmozyme. I'm sorry, I guess I just need to vent. KI just find it som incredibly frustrating that they won't listen to what I'm saying... We started out with a pari proneb ultra nebulizer that took 30-35 minutes for duoneb and 45-50 minutes for tobi. Being new parents, we didn't KNOW any better until a relative gave us an older model as a spare for use at our inlaws. Duo neb took about 14 minutes and tobi took 22-25. I bought a brand new devilbiss online and worked like a charm, but then treatment times started increasing, started making growling noises -- was still under warranty, so I sent it in -- two weeks later I got a brand new one.
By the time we had realized the pari was faulty from day one, the warranty had expired. I've since bought a pari proneb ultra II for travel -- it's more compact than the devilbiss pulmoaid and just keep an eye on the noise factor and increased treatment times.
