Nebulizer question

Hey all....So my Pari ultra neb compressor died last week, and unfortunately the warranty had just expired. My mom went to get a new one, and they said they didn't have any new Pari's in, so they gave her a "Spider-neb." I know that I'll still need to use the Pari nebulizer part for my TOBI, but is there any reason this Spider-neb wouldn't be as good as a Pari compressor? Also, this Spider-neb cost like $350, $150 of which my mom had to pay. I thought the Pari ones were only around $100-$200?

So basically I just want to know if anyone else has heard of this "spider-neb" or what you think about the price. Thank you!

Hi Jenny, I haven't heard of the spider neb. Is it a Pari product? We just bought, well not just, the new Pari Trek. We bought one last summer for my youngest daughter for her to take to camp and we just got one today (courtesy of insurance) for my oldest daughter for her to take to college. Sounds to me like $350. was a bit much, more like what they charge insurance companies. For example, we only paid $216. for Rachel's Pari Trek and the insurance charge for the one delivered today was for more than twice that much. Ridiculous! There are much less expensive models out there available through the internet. We paid out of pocket for a Pari Duraneb 3000 four years ago (I think they don't make it anymore or some places don't carry it anymore because the Trek is much smaller and a little less). Out of pocket because the insurance wouldn't reimburse, they had to pay outright (even if it was going to cost them twice as much).

There are a couple of allergy supply comapanies on-line that just need a script from you doctor for it and they cost less. But sorry, I haven't heard of the spider neb either.

Basically compressors are compressors, I hate your mom spent so much on one, I could have got you one much cheaper. When anyone needs stuff like that let me know I can always get it pretty cheap through my company.
