Would you drink Barium if you were getting a Abdominal cat scan? I am not in favor of it, it is very constipating and this is the issue. The radiologist wants my daughter to drink it
My son did and it wasn't a problem but we hit hard with miralax after and he did have nasty tummy ache and vomited but I thnk because no enzymes with drink but he was the the next day and has been on a good patch since. The was three weeks ago at most.
He also had a barium enima which I think also has that issue for what isn't passed but not sure. But was ok too. I'd just check with gi about keeping up miralax dose after at higher rate for a day or two.
