Can you help me name this event?
I'm chairperson for a CFF fundraiser on Thurs. Feb. 11. It will be from 7-9. It will be at a store called Artisan Food store which is a upscale store specializing in farmstead and artisan cheeses from the Northeast US. They also sell organic foods including a beautiful selection of chocolates. The owner is a sommelier (person trained in food and wine pairing). She will be giving us a lesson as we enjoy her cheese paired with savory cocktails and chocolates paired with sweet cocktails. The liquor in the cocktail will be an eau de vie from a local distillery. Everything being served is from the northeast. It could be a themed event but I haven't decided as of yet to make it such. Thigns to consider is it Feb. 14 is valentines day so 'love' or 'heart' could be in the theme. I was also considering a 'Made In CT' name until I found out the chocolate isn't from CT.
The places I'll be advertising the event are: through a press release to the local paper, through the local chapter of the CFF (email), through the store's website and email list and on sandwich boards on main street. These are those two sided white boards with the black letters. I'm able to post these signs because I organized the event through the town's women's club. Space is limited on the sign. I'll want to tell driver by's the jist of the event date and time. So maybe on the boards I won't be able to include the name of the event or maybe I shouldn't have a catchy name for the event but rather descriptive only?
What do you all think? I'll probably be lucky to fit all this on the sign.
SWC presents
Chocolate, Cheese
& C'ktails 4 a CF cure
Artisan Food Store
Thurs. Feb. 11 7-9
203-222-1212
Any suggestions? Is it too kitchy to just call it cocktail party because I think I can only fit 10 letters per line.
Help!
Thanks in advance!
Lauren
