I ALWAYS wear my purple CF bracelet. I have not taken it off my arm in 3 years. My hubby also has not taken his off.

They are starting to get a bit worn. It is the purple bracelet that says.....

BREATHE EASY.....CURE CYSTIC FIBROSIS

Anyone know were I can order some more. For the life of me I can't remember where I ordered them!

Mike wears the same one. All the time, he's gone through three of them so far.

Just so you know there are also blue bracelets sold through the CFF website. They come in youth sizes too and adult sizes. I am not sure where they are located on CFF.org, but Kurt has ordered some for us off there. They say Breathe - CFF.org on them.

A bit off the topic....we got bracelets for our whole family. The only ones who wear them religiously is my brother in law and me. Many times when we are out I notice people looking at our "matching purple bands" and wonder if they think they are our gay wedding bands...ahhhh who cares?

I wear both the purple and the blue together. I don't ever take them off. My oldest daughter is getting married in a month and they will be on my wrist for the event!

My mom was asked at church if her purple bracelet was a "gay thing", so she cornered this poor woman who asked and told her all about her grandson and cf. DH and I wear both the blue and purple bracelets on our wrists. I also have a crystal "bangles of hope" bracelet from banglesofhope.com

I love how they assume purple means it's a gay cause. Nothing wrong with gay causes, of course. But what about men who wear pink? I bet a lot of people know that's breast cancer without asking. Psh.

Is purple the color for Gay Pride?????

Not that I have a problem with it. I am all for gay rights! Maybe I should order the blue ones also!

I thought colors for gay pride were rainbow colors?

Liza, i second HairGirl, those bracelets are very pretty!!!

Does anyone else think it might be a good idea to create a spot where there are links to different things like the bracelets and Ry's t-shirts and some of the other items we have seen in passing. That way when someone is looking it's easy for us to direct them etc.? Also, I know I have also appreciated things like the link, that I think Allie provided, to the cute medical alerts bracelets (you know if I'm wearing something I prefer it be CUTE) there are a lot of good liks I've seen but after time I forget where it was posted etc. A specific spot might help...Or am I being a blonde and we already have a spot? Sort of a CF awareness shop? You know my head is always thinking about shopping, it comes with the girl gene.

We did set up the classified, fundraiser, and nutrition blogs...I guess the links could be in the comment section.
If this needs to be defined better let me know.
Or better ideas?

Comment section? I'm a dummy, not sure where/what that is.

Another idea, you could put it on the side (like where the blogs and sponsor links are).

Hi Emily:

That's where those blogs are...on the left hand column....they aare the TOPICS blogs...
Classified
Fundraising
Nutrition

We didn't really introduce them...they've been there...
Go to the Fundraising Blog and Post a Comment about Ally's Cafe Press or the purple bracelets from the MilanFoundation etc.

What do you think?

Well that isn't going to work...because Fundraiser Blog wasn't set up to take comments...I'll have to tell Bill.
Sorry!
But I hope you get the idea!
