I have an MRI scheduled for today. I found out this morning that they will insert a needle into my hip socket and put the dye right in the hip. FREAKING OUT!<br>Even with having CF I am freaked out about needles and pain. Big baby!! I have already had 2 panic attacks as soon as I found out. <br>Please send up prayers for me.

I had a cortisone injection into my bursa (sac of fluid in shoulder) last spring. It was uncomfortable, and I did think, "What if you miss the spot??" but I kept reminding myself that this dr (who specializes in boxers), probably does a few of these a week.

I am home. I am in some pain... the numbing drugs are wearing off. My nerves are fried and I am exhausted. The procedure was quite painful. They gave me 3-4 lidocane injections during the procedure. I saw the needle--- wow!!
They gave me like 15 units of contrast dye and then wheeled me off to have the MRI. I did have to walk a little bit and man oh man was my hip heavy. I don't have much range of motion due to swelling.
Everyone at the hospital was super nice. The surgical nurse gave me a hug when it was all over. My fingers were numb from holding onto the nurse hand during the procedure.
