Hello everyone,

I just read some incredibly reassuring and uplifting posts about another new baby diagnosed with CF. Our baby Clark was just born on 1/21/09 and we just found out that he has CF this past Friday. We are still in denial and feel that this is just can't be real. To look at him he seems like the healthiest baby in the world but to hear that he has a disease seems impossible. One minute we are talking about his wedding day and now we are hopeing he makes it to the prom - and who will want to even get close to him knowing they may lose him? He is our first - we are still trying to figure out how to change his diaper let alone absorb all of this? How do we love him like we did the day before his diagnosis? We are still receiving gift and well wishes and we just want to hide. Everone is saying - Congrats! How is he? To think one minute we say he is so healthy and perfect and the next, we are saying, he's great and he has CF and we don't know if he will outlive us! Help us get through this!
