My 17 year old daughter is in desperate need of exercise of some kind. She is either very low energy or exhausted from bouts of extreme coughing accompanied by wretching. Her body hurts all over. She has some fairly severe appetite issues. No G tube, but taking marinol with some success. The problem is that she's malnourished, and her body doesn't have enough resources to fight her condition AND work towards improvement. I was thinking that by beginning an exercise program of some kind, she would help herself in terms of her pulmonary functionality, increased appetite, build muscle and stamina, etc.

With her level of energy/strength right now, I'm thinking she should start very slowly. A 15 minute walk and maybe some exercises targeted toward the weak to help them gain strength, e.g. geriatric therapy. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
