New Cf Gene

We just found out the 2 genes our 3 year old daughter has. It has taken 3 full years to find out the second gene. The first time she was tested her results came back telling us she has the Delta F508 gene, which we know is super common. Today we got more results back telling us she also has L467P. The results said that this gene is new. Im just curious if anyone else has this same gene?

For those interested there is now a 1300 cystic fibrosis gene mutation test available.

Hi my family name is Mclean/mackinnon and i have two girls with C.F but only one of the genes were maped that was the delta 708 I am glad to here you have the other

Since they are calling it a "new gene mutation" my guess is that your daughter is the first person to register in the database with it. My daughter also has one rare mutation - there is only one other person in the database with her rare mutation (she also has the DF508)...
