Hi,
I have been reading this forum for the last few weeks and decided to join. I have never used a message board before, so I hope I am doing this right!
Our two daughters (age 3 years and 4 months) were recently diagnosed with CF. Our three year old had a rectal prolapse which led to a sweat test, etc. I had little knowledge of CF before her sweat test, but after reading the symptoms list everything made sense. Her seemingly unrelated issues (frequent, large bowel movements, always being hungry even though she ate alot, a chronic cough) actually were all related! There is no family history, so this was a huge shock to us. We had the full Ambry test done and they are both df508. Our six year old son is a carrier.
The last two months have been a big adjustment and learning curve. Reading the experiences of other families dealing with the same issues has been informative and comforting....I don't feel quite so alone.
I'm not sure how often I will post messages, but wanted to introduce myself for when I did!
Thanks for reading.
