Hi everyone! I just started oral minocycline 100mg 2x a day. Anyone have any experiences with this one that might help me. My doc started me on this to try avoiding IV time. October is my normal time for IV treatment, but so far im feeling ok...just a little below my baseline of 65-70% FEV1 and kinda gunked up. Any info will be appreciated.

Sorry havent heard of this one. The only one close to it I know is from my childhood....tetracycline. Havent used that in years which worked, but left my teeth a mess.

I hope this works for you & you get back to 100% yourself.

I have tried doxycycline, which is in the same family & had good results with it. I request it just about anytime I know my MRSA is acting up. Doxycycline has minimal to no side-effects, which is great anytime you can be that lucky!

My daughter took minocycline for months for acne (it worked!) & also didn't have any side effects of it.

Good luck

Minocycline is one of my favorite oral antibiotics! I started using it when i was first diagnosed with cepacia 12 years ago. It used to really kick butt all by itself but that was 12 years ago. I still use it with 2 or 3 other orals . I rotate between minocycline and Doxycycline every 3 weeks or so . I have never had any side effetcs from either, except for good ones . I had adult acne when i started using Minocycline 12 years ago and it completely went away, never to return
