New Resource for Breastfeeding Moms

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to pass along a new resource for breastfeeding moms
whose infants have CF. It has a collection of stories from women
detailing their experiences (including our very own Tanya and Nico
and myself)and offering their support. In addition, there is a
collection of studies and articles related to the importance of
breastfeeding and cystic fibrosis.

We also have discussion boards available (with la leche league
leaders lurking and answering questions from their training and
experience) to discuss any questions or concerns you may have from
breastfeeding questions to those which are specific to problems
typical in CF.

Perhaps you are a mom who is currently breastfeeding, perhaps one
who did and would like to support new moms? Perhaps you know
someone who is just finding out pre-natally and would like them to
feel supported in their decision to breastfeed. Whatever the
reason, please join us in helping new moms feel supported in their
choice. Pass along the link to whomever you feel may appreciate the
information.

You will also see that their is a Nutrition Support site as well.
This is still under construction but should be up by December. We
will have recipes from a chef who cares very much about nutrition
and its affects on the body, a book club, articles and studies on
supplements and alternative forms of medicine and much more. I will
post again (if you all don't mind) when that site is completed.

I hope you all join us and find it helpful in the future. And thank
you again for those of you who participated in telling your
stories...this was a labor of love indeed! If you wish to be
included in the story section please submit your story to me.

Sincerely,
Jody
