I just spoke with Melissa and she said that " she's doing good"..
She tried to post to you all, but after typing all the info lost the connection <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif" border="0">, dontcha just hate it when that happens?
She has some streaking so they dropped cpt back to 2 times a day, just to make sure she doesn't have another bleed like the last one.
Her doctor wants to see if she could get the shot for the vocal cord issue, and be able to be monitored for a few days afterward to see how that goes (smart) The doctor really wants that done before she goes home, because not being able to cough the right way will not be good for her lungs, and her lungs are good right now, so they want them to stay that way <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> ...
Her doctor also is looking into a procedure that was done at Columbia Pres. .. This is where they go in and put a stent into her lung, it has been done on one other C/F patient .. They would probably do a paper on Melissa (i think she likes that idea <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">)
I give her doctor (and mine as well now, thanks to Melissa) a lot of credit for looking into different options for her..
She had a good visit over the weekend with Robert, Jazz, Jeanne and Peter (they brought her a delicious steak sandwich) she sounds good ~ we miss you Melissa <img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0"> joni
