Noah had his bronchoscopy today. All went well; doc says his lungs looked great. He did brush his lungs(?) so that they can see if anything grows (hoping NOT to find PA). I'm a little frazzled tho b/c he is still sleeping, and we were released 3 hrs ago!I called the hosp. and they said to let him sleep?! Does that sound right? The appt with the pulm is next week. I wish they'd make up their minds if my son has CF or not. ITS DRIVING ME BATTY! Thanks for listening...Still waiting

I hope you get the answers you want. I would probably let him sleep. Its probably the anesthetic still in him. So does Noah have cf or not?

They still don't know. The CF specialist thinks he has two as yet undiscovered mutations. Sweat test X3 # were 46, 44, 43. Limited genetic screen was neg, as was full ambry.But given all his symptoms and me hx she is sure its CF. Unfortunately the pulm wants something more concrete, like culturing PA or nasal polyps. He claims he's 1 criteria away from dx, whatever that means.
