Nosebleeds

DH got a call from preschool this morning asking him to stop by -- remember, I'm the scary one, so they always call him. And she was probably right about this one due to my mucus phobia (sets off my gag reflex -- I know irony).

Anyway, the director was concerned because while throwing a temper tantrum and subsequent snot bubbles from the nose, his nose started bleeding. With his CF, she was concerned because she once had a cancer patient who was prone to nosebleeds.

By the time DH got there, he'd calmed down -- course started crying again because he was sure he was in trouble with his dad -- and the bleeding had stopped.

I'm noticing that when DS is on tobi, the booger production (technical term) increases as does the booger harvesting from said child. Because of the tobi and playing outside yesterday, I was planning to sterilize some water this weekend and start up sinus rinses again, but should I wait being he had a nose bleed, or shouldn't that be an issue.

Probably, the temper trantrum/crying might have started the irritation to get the nose bleed going. My kids do not usually get nose bleeds, Maggie has had blood in her boogers but usually it either from coughing so hard, or too much nose picking. Maybe there has been some nose picking going on? I may hold off on sinus rinses for a day or two cause I would think the salt would be irritating to his nose.

He told me last week, as he was picking his nose that he had a red booger and that "the king booger monster (darn mucinex commercials), apparently killed/destroyed one of the lesser booger monsters who lives up his nose". Little weirdo!
