This is a post about a CF fundraiser I'm working on, and as this affects families, maybe it would be a good place to post. If not, please feel free to move it to an appropriate area.

I just wanted to let you know about a wonderful event being organized to raise funds for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Our company is involved in a cross Canada event this coming August to help raise funds and awareness for the CCFF. We got involved after having been introduced to the most incredible little girl named Raven - details about the event can be viewed at www.rockinforraven.com . Raven's Myspace can be visited at www.myspace.com/rockinforraven .

Of course, Raven is just one of thousands dealing with CF, but we would love to have your voices added to this benefit. Right now, we are focusing on Canada, but have plans to expand this into the US and beyond, as we have been receiving inquiries about future events. If you could, please take the time to look at our site, and add your stories to the "Other Voices" section. If you are able to attend one of the events, we would be so grateful. Also, if you know of any people or companies that would like to sponsor or donate to this cause, it would be appreciated more than you know.

Please help us create history, so that we can give people with CF the time to have a history to create.

First, let me just say that these two posts were not meant to be anonymous posts, but when I'm logged in the post feature isn't working for me.

Also, please know that this event is not looking for money from you. What is more priceless to us are your words and your stories. CF has touched my life personally, and I do what I can to raise awareness, which is what this event is about. I'd appreciate any feedback you have.

Yes, the site is updated almost daily, as we get more information coming in. Right now we're getting venues and bands solidified, so as the information trickles in it goes up. I'm not sure what area of Canada you live in, but we would love to have you there! Also, if you (or anyone else here) have any suggestions or ideas, we would love to hear them. My user name on the board is doc (though for some reason when I sign in I am unable to use the post feature, hence the anonymous posts) so you can PM me here, or leave us a message on the main Raven site or through the myspace site.

liz, to update you, we have a show in winnipeg set to go, at The
Zoo on August 5th.  ticket information will be available soon
(just waiting for confirmation on a few of the acts) so definitely
keep checking the rockinforraven site.<br>

for those of you in other areas of canada, we also have other shows
solidified, such as in montreal, kelowna, and vancouver. other
shows will be updated ASAP.<br>

strength we find ours from, and if we can make people more aware of
what we all need to do to find a cure, that's a huge step in the
right direction!
