I have a clinic apt Friday - my last one before I have only my husband's crappola insurance - so I am going to ask for a supply of antibiotics to have around just in case. In my Medications and Mother's Milk book, Hale says that Ofloxacin is a better drug to use for breastfeeding than Cipro when fluoroquinolines are needed. I responded fantastically to Cipro, but I am unwilling to stop breastfeeding right now. As I said, I don't feel badly, I just want a just in case antibiotic on hand since after the 31st I will have to pay 80% for all my meds (bah humbug!) So, does anyone know if Ofloxaxin is a good choice for PA flare ups, etc.?
