Not sure if this has been disputed, but I thougth it was interesting. The study was done in 2003.

I've been having a lot of inflammatory related issues that are helped by ibuprofen and prednisone, but I realise I can't continue to take them because of their side effects.

Thought I would give some pharmaceutical grade epa and dha a try.

Hate to let you know (or more than likely you already know), but in the end anything you say for the most part doesnt matter. Most cf lungers are spoon fed via their doctors/teams, and those people rely upon conventional medicine/wisdom. There are some (those doctors/teams) who realize that there is a huge world of benefit out there beyond the world of pharmacology. I am living proof as to what education, enlightenment, research, and tenaciousness can do for you. I don't fool myself and plan to live to be 90 years of age, but I damn near now have a degree in biochemical interaction, and plant based medicinal properties. What used to be very pesky "Wow this sucks, I know it is related to hyperaging and CF in general, I guess I will just deal with it", is now "I know my body is constantly at war, and in turn my body presents these symptoms...I know how to counter them". And I in turn fight back with substances and my knowledge. Guess what? Hooky, ultra hippy bullshit? Far from it. My life chronological, spiritual, and wisdom wise has all massively extended. I went from being crippled by gout, CF related arthritis (CFRA), massive flare ups via the inflammation in my lungs and hemoptysis, to a much more stable existence.

The only point of me responding now, is to stress that you can either follow the pied piper into your own predisposed coffin, or educate yourself to the non standard aspects of treating your condition, find some things/multitude of things that work from that large field, and either live longer or make the symptoms less agregate. It's up to you. At the end of the day, if you become passive and let yourself be consumed by a health regimen that only encompasses conventional standard treatments, you are pretty much guaranteed to die at a much younger age than if you "Picked yourself up by the bootstraps" and became aggressive towards education with regards to many avenues, and do your own research. Don't be a sucker, there are many questions we have, and there are a good deal of answers out there to help yourself, if you only look.

BTW I only responded with this due to seeing somehow that to some degree, was in the same shoes I was in not too long ago. Before that, my last response was to shauna querying about a nappy funk from her genital area. That was too tempting not to respond with humor. I come here maybe 3 or 4 times a week to see if anyone needs some gentle guidance. As I said a long time ago, general conversation on here (exchange of information) is not for me due to the make up of some of the regular users here, and their interpretations of whatever i say. But I am not far from beyond seeing something, I know I can help, and offering some suggestions. I hope you guys stay healthy.

I ordered something similar (pharmaceutical grade) but not from the same place.
