one more question about insurance

So, as I've said before, I'm expecting a little girl, due in june, who they're already told me will have cf. I have insurance now, but i dont think it will continue too long after i give birth, since i'm not planning on going back to work anytime soon. My boyfriend works for the same company that i do, and our insurance isn't the best....no prescription plan and such, and expensive. (great for maternity though.....i pay $20 and that covers everything from the first visit and the total birth!!) Now, he and I aren't married, but we live together. Since i wont be working, he'll be basically paying for everything. My question is, at that point, would the baby be eligible for government benefits? I'm not looking for a handout, but i know that paying for everything will be difficult, and I know that she'd be almost totally covered with government benefits, right? I'm in pa, so if anyone knows about this, let me know?

Not sure how it is in PA but in my state if the boyfriend is living in the household you would have to include his income in the household income.

Hi my son was born with cf and thank god we had medicaid however I did apply for ssi and was denied because my husband makes to much money. There is a insurance call the katie beckworth law or something like that you can apply for. Your doctor should help you out. good luck
