if your child drinks any sort of nutritional drink, what do you use?

I've compared Boost plus, Boost kids, Pediasure, and Resource Just for Kids. Boost plus has the highest cals, carbs, protein, and almost the highest fat. Plus Walmart has a generic (Equate) which is like $7 for 6 bottles.

My only concern is since its not made for kids, it has a much higher vitamin content than all the others. But the nutritionist says its ok.

Just wondering what you use and why.

We use the walmart generic of pediasure. In strawberry. Its the only one my daughter will drink.

We've tried the boost and lots of others. Our nutritionist said it was all ok as well.

We've also tried doing the carnation instant breakfast with a few tablespoons of heavy cream. As well as the Resource 1.5 Just for kids. All are great options, just depends on what you can get your son to drink.

We make our own drink, here is our "recipe":

24 ounces whole milk
2 Carnation Instant Breakfast Packets
3 Tablespoons Canola Oil

This ends up being similar to Scandishakes minus the Transfat that Scandishakes have. My 5-year old drinks this everyday spread out in 3 servings. We also add a calcium supplement to this mixture bc it is easier to give it to her this way.

ETA: We use this mixture bc it is cost effective, she likes it (doesn't like the premixed drinks) and it seems to agree with her as far as weight gain and doesn't bother her tummy.
