Ok, this is not meant to spark any debate on how vain some people are (me in particular). I'm just concerned with my looks and want to keep them as long as possible.
Well I met with the Dermatologist who is one of the best ones in the state. We discussed Juvaderm which is injected into the lips (or other parts of the face).
So anyone know of any allergic reactions to this?
I am allergic to Cipro, Keflex, Ceclor, Avalox and PCN.
Here is some info I pulled up tonight on the computer.
I need to do more research to see if I'd be allergic to any of the 'ingredients.' I'd appreciate any feedback on anyone who has had this specific injection (or if you KNOW someone who has had it, etc).
Here is THEIR info.....
Allergan said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration had approved Juvederm, which contains the highest concentration of nonanimal and cross-linked hyaluronic acid of any dermal filler currently available.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural complex sugar found in all living organisms. Treatments with Juvederm last up to six months or longer in most patients, Allergan said.
Juvederm, which adds volume to the folds running from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth, is expected to boost sales in Allergan's wrinkle treatment line as top-selling cosmetic procedure Botox faces increased competition.
Botox, which works differently, relaxes the dominant frown muscles between the eyebrows.
Juvederm will compete against market-leading dermal filler Restylane from Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp.
