I got back from my son's parent teacher conference, he's in 4th grade and does not have CF. In every subject he is doing above average. HIs teacher, who has a reputation for being hard gave him a glowing report. She said she enjoys teaching him. Socially he is doing well, too. Her words"he is nicely balanced".. It made me feel so good and relieved. He's always done well in school and is very smart. I often worry about the effect of having a sibling with CF for him. WIll he feel neglected? Less loved somehow? How do talk about these things to a 9 year old. We try to be very open with him but he has a hard time talking about his emotions, always has. I'm so lucky to have such good kids.

That's wonderful!! I'm sure you are as proud as can be. Give that boy some big old hugs (and kisses if he still lets you) and tell him how proud we all are of him. CF or no CF, school is hard and hard work is worthy of praise!!

That is Great News! I often have the same feelings about my oldest which is 7 w/o CF. I would like to share my proud mom story aswell. I hope thats ok!
Emilie started making bracelets to raise money for the CF Foundation and a cure for her little sister. To date she raised $350.00! She was also invited to sell her bracelets at our next fundraiser. We all pitched in and helped her make 500 bracelets to sell. Wish us luck it is next Sun.

We are all so proud of our little ones arn't we!
