Other CF organizations needing donations

I know everyone is gearing up in their fundraising for the big CF walk. Every year this makes me want to make people aware that there are other organizations out there that provide DIRECT SUPPORT TO PEOPLE/FAMILIES WITH CF, whereas the CFF only does research funding.

If you know of a CF organization that directly benefits CF people/family Please post their contact information here!!!!

And for those who are wondering or already know, Yes, the first one listed is my non profit organization. It is on the verge of being shut down due to a lack of donations. If anyone would like to see financial statements for my organization, please let me know and I will provide them immediately. Please pass these worthwile CF links to family and friends who might be looking for a good organization to donate to.

I know I'm missing a few others but I'm just drawing a blank right now...

shoot!
I never got that check in the mail I promised.

I'll send it now...promise. I am appreciative of your advice you gave me to go ahead and apply for SSDI. Without it, I may have delayed.

I primarily donate and fundraise for the CFF, but I also benefit from CFRI (CF Research Institute). They put on regular CF education events, working on webcasting for those of us outside the SF bay area. In August is a spectacular weekend of CF research updates, Q&A with experts, and peer support groups where you can talk with people in the same CF perspective as you. The following week is a week-long retreat for adults w/ CF and their close supporters. They also fund medical research, so it's a more inclusive treatment and social program.

I'm not a fan of having too many charities where funding gets spread thinly for the same cause, I think it's the millions of dollars the CFF gets that makes the treatment funding we see possible. BUt, if you want to donate to something else I'd recommend CFRI. www.cfri.orgCFRI
If you want to fund exposure of CF artistic expressions, check out the Breathing Room at www.thebreathingroom.org/ and go to the Looking Glass.
