i'm sure it's just a normal pregnancy thing, but in the past two days i've really noticed this. in the car yesterday, then after walking around for a little bit at the doctor's office, and now today. it's annoying the crude out of me. so here's where the ouchie part comes in. i get a little pain in my hip joint and then it travels down into my leg some. after a few min it normally goes away. walking relieves it some, but not all the way. i do stretch my legs out when this starts. i look like a freaking bird cause i'll flip out my leg so that i can stretch out my joint. i look funny to say the least. i was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or am i just a wacko case?

I'm wondering, are you describing sciatic nerve pain? The part where you said it travels down your leg is what makes me think it's the sciatic nerve. And yes, it's very common during pregnancy.

I agree w/ Tara that it is probably your sciatic nerve. I get similar pains during pregnancy (this time on my left, last time on my right) and seeing a chiropractor does wonders for me. Right now I'm at the stage where I need to see her once a week. At some point I'll probably need to go twice a week but the adjustments seem to hold for about 5-6 days for now.

Your ligaments are relaxing and allowing your joints to get out of their usual alignment. I highly recommend seeing a chiro - find one who is familiar w/ pregnancy and is familiar in the Webster technique. A good chiro will know how to get and keep your baby head down (and positioned properly) for delivery. JMO <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
