oxygen - if you use, what do you use?

hi
I've been on 2L of o2 at night for years now, but recently had a really bad fall and winter and have been sick with colds a couple times and have been on full time oxygen while i'm recovering. obviously its not fun. i have a portable machine, top of the line, that i own for when i go on trips (for my night usage), but it is proving to be cumbersome and large despite its portability, for daytime use.

I am hoping to be able to be off of oxygen in the daytime in the next few weeks or so, but i also want to be a realist. i dont want my oxygen need to subsequently limit my activity, just because i dont feel like going out with my cumbersome portable machine (it weighs about 9 lbs, and is on wheels...not exactly something i am comfortable with yet).

i know some people use liquid oxygen--- they fill little canisters from a large tank at home? i am just starting to do research. i would love it if anyone had recommendations of what equipment they use -- so i could maybe cut through the trial and error and work on getting something more convenient for this time while i recover, and who knows, maybe i will need it longer.

thanks,

Caitlin
