OXYGEN THERAPIES

I am trying to find out if anyone has any information on Ozone or Oxygen therapies. My daoughter is 21 with very resistant mycobacterium absescus. She is on cefoxitin and amikacin by IV as well as biaxin and ethambutol orally for almost 4 monthes now.
The ozone and oxygen therapies look very promising at least for maintenance and energy levels. If anyone has any experience with these types of treatments, I would appriciate the feedback.
Thanks,
Paul M

Hi Paul,
I'm sorry to hear your daughter has M. abscessus. I have had this also, I am 39 and have taken IV cefoxitin, amikacin, imepenem as well as oral biaxin plus amikacin via nebulizer. I had 2 six-month courses of these abx about a year apart. I have never heard of oxygen or ozone therapy, what are they? Is your daughter being treated in Denver at Nat'l Jewish? I live in Boston but went there to consult with the docs in Denver, they are world renowned experts with myco. If you would like to email, feel free, knunnari@comcast.net Good luck!

Paul, I have heard about Ozone and O2 therapies, though they are not legally performed in the USA from the "rumors" I have heard. There are several Naturalpathic Physicians in Southern California who provide the service. I think they have offices in CA and the therapy offices in Mexico. If you hear more about it, or if you call a Naturalpathic Physician and get the whole story from one of them, please post your info. I am interested too.

Hey well i'm not exactly shure if O2 at night is the same thing as oxg thrpy but i am currenty on the abx. to treat it. I'm not doing any iv's at the moment but i take biaxin augmentin cipro and amakacin by neb. during My last stay at the hospital none of the abseses where found but the treatment goes on forever it seems. also from my point of view i can tell a difference if i go a night without the o2.and it's good just to have anyway sometimes when i ge short of breath i just put it on for a while and it usally helps.. hope this helps....-Thomas
