This time changed my daughters schedule off. She normally poops rite before she gets up on the morning. The last two days she didn't poop. NO poop! But, then rite after daddy leaves for work and rite before we leave to drop my other 2 kids off to school she poops out all over. I mean all over! Up the back, out the sides, on carpet. It's awful. This morning she pooped out two times. GRRR! This is normal for her. But she is in bed and don't get everything else soiled. Since she normally poops in morning all over we give bath then we smell good that rest of day. But now she gets bath then poops all over and she's a stinky lil thing. WOW does she stink. The last 3 times at her CF clink she has been on Green (50% combined ht and wt) so next appt we are hoping to lower her continuous feeds rate at nite. That should help, i hope.

All I can say is... I can empathize with how gross the huge exploding-out-the-seams-everywhere pooping is!! Emily used to do that and the second we saw her get red and making the 'face' we'd frantically throw something on the floor or get to the kitchen where there was no rug and plop her on it and try to keep her there until she was done. (She exploded from everywhere since pooping, for some bizarre reason, made her vomit too. WHAT a mess.)

I hope Grayson gets back 'on schedule' soon to cooperate with her 'pre-bath poop' and has gained enough weight to be able to feed less at night. I can definitely understand how taking in so much at night will result in such dramatic morning performances.

(I'm so glad to see she's been at such a good place on the charts for so long, too!)

eta: I also have to tell you, Grayson is SO adorable. I love the photo on Grandma's page.

Ahhh, the days of poop up the back and out the sides. Sigh! Usually during a car trip. Bleah.

Could be an issue of having to adjust her enzymes. We'd usually would adust gradually 1/4-1/2 capsule over several days to see if that helped. I would check with your doctor. With DS the doctors never seemed concerned because he too was in the 50th %; however, having to do 3 diaper changes DURING a diaper change or have lotso poo up the back was annoying.

Another thing to consider is the type of diapers. We always used the ones with elastic legs and waist 'cuz of his poochy tummy, but he had issues with huggies. Stuff would always squirt out the legs. A coworker with a girl had issues with the pampers swaddlers and cruisers, so we traded coupons. So if the poo is well formed, sometimes it's just a diaper issue, too.
