Poop Test Question

My son is PS or at least we thought he was. His GI wants him to do another Fecal Fat Elastase Test this week and I can't remember how long we can keep the "sample" before taking it in to the lab. Has anyone had this test done lately? I can call the clinic tomorrow, but I actually want to use the poo from tonight, but not take it in until Tuesday because I am going to be swamped at work tomorrow and I can't run it down there tomorrow (and who knows if there will be another poo tomorrow or not). Plus I don't want to waste this special container on tonight's poo if I will need it later in the week. Anyone know the answer?

If I remember correctly I think the CF nurse told us within 24 hours.

Digital opinion leader
We did the 72 hour fecal fat test and kept it in the freezer (gross). We packed it in a cooler to get it to the lab before it thawed.
