I got my port inserted a few days ago, im so glad i got one, although it does hurt a little when coughing it makes getting IV medication so much easier- no more stinging pain in my arm from the tobi!

Good job! Its tough at first to get used to the 'bump'. But it will make life less painful in the future and I believe the benefits far outweigh the risks if you are an IV antibiotic user.

You won't regret your port...no more waiting for PICC line placement, IV's can start immediately. I just think it is so convenient and much less painful than IV's or PICC's hands down.
