Portable Nebs......for Tobi, Pulmozyme, and hyper tonic saline.

Hey guys and gals,


I am looking to go backpacking around europe this summer and need to find a portable neb that i can use on the go. I use the three meds listed up top. I have been looking into the Omron Micro-Air but it seems to be a hit or miss. I am not sure if the particle size of the meds or even the meds itself are capable of running in the neb. I feel like the hypertonic saline would clog up the 75 dollar mesh the first time i used it.


PARI TREK S is the other neb im looking at. It is a compressor which i know would work for my meds but its alot bigger and alot louder which i dont like.


Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations or any info on if the Omron will work for my meds.

We have an Omron Micro-air with the vibrating mesh technology from before Cf diagnosis and my CF team said not to use it because it cannot be sterilized. My daughter and I each have Pari Trek and use disposible nebs on vacation.

Very pricey, but very effective and fantastically fast is the eflow.

It is quiet, light weight and runs on batteries (can also be plugged in). Get it insured and you'll be so happy. MUCH less treatment time.
Maybe your insurance would help cover some of the cost.

I agree with JustaCFmom I've had the eFlow machine for quite a few years, I was very lucky and my insurance/docs helped me and covered the entire cost. I'd definitely recommend it, as I received it solely because I wasn't motivated to take my treatments/have the time and now I'm so thankful for it because I work early mornings and not being a morning person in the first place I can take this in my car!
