I wanted to talk to women with CF that have had kids or are pregnant. I want to know what it took to get pregnant, if any extra help at all. I heard the Clomid actually makes mucus thicker, so women with CF can't really use it to increase fertility. I also want to know how long it took to become pregnant.

If you look pack to previous topics posted on this site in the last few weeks, there are a few extensive discussions about pregnancy and what it took for CF females to help get pregnant. What I have heard the most of on this site is using robitussin (not the kind that supresses a cough though) because it thins out the mucous.
You might want to look at those other posts first, because I believe some of the women with successful pregnancies even posted personal email addresses that you could address more specific questions to.

I am one of those women...I am 31 with a 6 (almost 7)yr old daughter(CF free). It took me almost 2 yrs to become pregnant. I had become very stressed about it...and then decided it just wasnt meant to be. About 6 mos after that...I became pregnant! My lung function was in the low 80s when I became pregnant. I did well throughout most of the pregnancy. My blood sugars started rising toward the end. I was induced 24 days early without any complications. Id be glad to answer any questions you might have. I am also one of those women. My daughter (CF free) is a little more than 2 1/2. We tried for a year and like Dea, decided it just wasn't meant to be, and then I found out I was pregnant a month later. I had no complications. My health was good and stable. My daughter was born at home 2 weeks post due date, but right on her time. We had a midwife in attendance. I breastfed her up until just last month when she weaned.
