Well I am 37+ weeks and feeling pretty good. My pelvis is my main complaint right now. I have been seeing my chiro weekly on thursdays but I scheduled another appointment for tomorrow morning since I don't think I can comfortably hold out till thurs. Thankfully my pelvis hasn't been an issue till the last week or so. CF wise I'm holding steady - still bad asthma but some days are better than others so I do get some relief from time to time.

I had a surprise baby shower yesterday which was really nice. It was small - my mom, my mother in law, my grandmother in law, my sister in law, a family friend, and a friend of my SIL and mine. Everything worked out perfectly and I had absolutely no clue.

I picked up my birth pool on Friday and we watched the set up DVD. We'll set up the pool sometime this week or next weekend. I think we're pretty much ready. I'd like her to wait at least another week or 2 though. I am fully prepared to go to 42 weeks if necessary.

Lastly I discovered my first pregnancy related stretch markon my belly the other day. It is tiny and I'm only slightly bummed but considering I could potentially have 5 weeks left I am kind of afraid of what might come!

So how about everyone else??

Hey all! I'm doing okay....just okay! I finally got some med for my nausea. I got so tired up puking up bile in the mornings! UGH! I'm starting to get lower back pain, but I use a heating pad, which has been helping. The headaches are a pain, but I'm coping. I have my first appointment with my high-risk doctor on the 28th. AND I still see my regular GYN along with my pulmonologist every month. We heard the heartbeat last week and it was amazing! I still cannot believe we are pregnant! I'm going on 14 weeks. Other than that....life is great!

I had my weekly appt today. B/c of the GD they are doing weekly NSTs and growth ultrasounds every 3 weeks (I had one of those today). She is growing great! She's only in the 18th percentile, but I'm a small person so the doctor isn't concerned, plus she has gained over a pound since my last ultrasound. If the measurements are right, it's looking like she'll be about 7lbs at 40 weeks. My weight was up a little today too- woohoo! I'm almost to 130.

Baby is breech though, which is kind of a bummer. I have been laying upside down every day, but it hasn't done anything yet. I'm seeing an acupuncturist tomorrow to start 2 weeks of moxibustion, and I have an external version (yikes!) scheduled for next Tuesday. If none of that works though, a c/s will be scheduled for 39 weeks, b/c they do not do vaginal breech births at my hospital. I might also look into finding a chiropractor that does the Webster Technique. I'm so scared about getting a c/s and then coughing all the time so I'll do anything I can to avoid that!

Other than that I'm feeling alright. Starting to have more trouble breathing, but I'm carrying low so it's not too bad. I have some back pain, but that usually just bothers me at night. The nursery is ready and my bags are packed, so I am just glad to be getting close to the end! I can't wait to meet our little girl .

Hope everyone else is doing really well! Ruby- good luck getting through the next couple of weeks with that rash!

Caroline- That's so neat that you got a surprise shower. How fun! The girls at my work also surprised me with a shower a couple weeks ago. It was so nice. Lucky you with only getting one stretch mark so far. I'm covered! I figured I would get them since I had some previously. I'm sure your birthing pool will be awesome for your home birth too.

Mari- Hang in there during the first trimester. I remember how hard it was on me as well. I was so nauseas at the beginning and lost a bit of weight from not eating. Try your best to keep food down and eat small amounts throughout the day - at least that worked for me. It will hopefully let up soon.

Jen- Bummer about the breech and needing to do a version. I hope it's successful so that you won't need a c/s. That's my fear too about c/s is the coughing afterwards. But many of the CF women on here have survived through it, coughing and all! Sounds like you're gaining weight better now than earlier in pregnancy.

You know, I'm actually surprised at how good I feel at this point in pregnancy. I was expecting to be more uncomfortable and miserable since that's how some women seem to be at the end. If I didn't have this rash I would be golden! Sleeping is a bit uncomfortable but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. Since my baby has already dropped I'm not feeling any shortness of breath or anything which is nice. Bending over is still a challenge though
