Pregnant PWCF and partner is a carrier

Hi,

Am 30 weeks pregnant and just found out my partner is a carrier. With me having C.F this gives my baby a 1 in 2
chance of having C.F. My hospital told me that they've never had this situation arise before. Does anyone out there have C.F and a C.F baby? I'm really worried about cross infection and what I can pass on to my baby if he is born with C.F. Obviously I'm devastated at the thought of my baby having C.F but am trying to get on with the pregnancy.

Would love to hear if anyone has been in this situation

Another CFer on this forum that comes to mind is ERINSBIZ. She is 34 years old, and has a 6 year old son with CF.

Don't have any experience w/ your situation though I know of several people who have CF and also have kids w/ CF. But I wanted to say congrats on your pregnancy and no matter the CF status, it will all work out in the end. And you'll love that baby like no other. Have they noticed any possible signs of CF in your baby (like bowel obstruction)? Keep us updated. there are several of us on here due late summer.
