Preseed

Hi Everyone,

I was just told about this site and had a question. My husband and I have been trying to conceive on our own for about 5 months. I chart my cycle and take my temperature, I seem to ovulate regularly. We are also in the process of trying to adopt, but it is long and very expensive. The doctor gave me the go ahead in July to try and conceive. I saw some people mention preseed. What is this and where can I get it? Thank you,

Kerry

Hi Kerry, welcome!

It is a lubricant. Very expensive since it is individual use applicators. I used ovulation predictor tests to figure out approximately when I ovulate, then used Preseed a few days before and after.

I do the same as Bonnie - when I get a + reading on the OPK I start using the preseed. You will probably only need a few (at the most) each cycle. It is about $2.50 per use and comes in individual applicators that deposit it right up next to your cervix. Go to www.preseed.com for more info. I have been pregnant twice in the last 3 cycles and I really feel it is because we were using preseed. It is the ONLY sperm friendly lubricant and it is specifically made to help people conceive. All other lubricants kill sperm.

Charting is a great start - is your luteal phase long enough? Do you make fertile cervical fluid? I don't make the good cervical fluid which is why I use the preseed.
